YAY FOR PUREE
for the last few weeks, HK has been refusing solid food. any time dudeguy tries to give him any, he balks and cries for breastalade. since my supply is tapering off (the boy is 14 months old 1 big enough to be eating actual food now), this hasn’t been great. on top of that, he’s trying to figure out how to jump, practicing running, building shit with blocks and a host of other things that are more important (to him) than eating. dudeguy is freaking out that the boy is malnourished, my boobs hurt and i’m sleep deprived from th boy night nursing every hour and a half, and everyone is cranky as hell.
last night, i remembered that google existed and after using my resources, found that this is a VERY common thing. today, after we all had breakfast, i suggested that dudeguy give the boy puree instead of chewable food later on in the day.
so much for gerber graduates. i’m back on to stage 2 food until Hoggie stops playing bald headed hunger games.
also, if your toddler isn’t eating, don’t worry. unless s/he’s losing weight, it’s probably fine. go back to food that doesn’t require chewing and see if that doesn’t help.
